Tom's biography was due to be my first title under my new publishers Pitch Publishing but after starting out as Tom's ghost writer we failed to finish the project due to a difference of opinion over priorities and timekeeping. Pitch pulled out along with myself but I introduced Tom and his project to my previous publishers DB who were happy to pick up Tom's book. I was surprised when the book came out that Tom had given me a credit, it was much appreciated along with his kind comments in the Acknowledgements. Tom is the long-serving Chairman of the Birmingham City Former Player's Association of which I am a committee member
